Amber Jolley began her career with The Whitaker Companies in early 2005, shortly after graduating from college. She initially began in Whitaker Consulting where she served as the Administrative Coordinator for the division. After 3 short months, she was promoted to the role of Researcher for Whitaker Technical Services--a role which she helped develop from scratch within the organization. In that capacity she was given the opportunity to wear many hats and learn every aspect of the staffing industry from the ground up. At the beginning of 2008, Amber was promoted to her current role as a Staffing Consultant in the Technical Division. Her focus is on recruiting top engineering and technical professionals for positions in the midstream and downstream energy industry both nationally and internationally. Amber also holds the credential of Certified Employee Retention Specialist, allowing her to not only help clients locate top talent, but also retain and cultivate employees that are currently on staff. She focuses on helping clients enhance stability and profitability of their most important asset—their human capital. Amber currently serves on the board of the Houston Chapter of the Society of Maintenance and Reliability Professionals as Program Co-Chair, and is an active member on several committees for the national branch of the organization. A passion for the engineering and technical fields combined with a belief in hard work, determination and honesty drive her to do what it takes to meet the needs of the clients and candidates. Ms. Jolley’s goal is to become a top leader and resource for the industry, and to continue training to stay ahead of the demands of the market.
Amber graduated Summa Cum Laude with her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Abilene Christian University, and was a member of Psi Chi honor society. She is accredited by the Texas Association of Personnel Consultants and received her national CPC (Certified Personnel Consultant) credential in October 2007 and her CERS (Certified Employee Retention Specialist) credential in April 2009.

Ms. Wenom began her recruiting career in 1978 with one of the nation's largest engineering placement firms based in Houston. She became Manager of a major technical recruiting firm in Dallas for six years before returning to Houston as Vice President of Whitaker Technical Services in 1989. Ms Wenom has achieved “preferred provider” or “exclusive provider” status with many of her clients.
Consistently a top producer in the recruiting industry, Ms. Wenom has been recognized with numerous production awards at local, state and national levels. She was inducted into the Pinnacle Society (the nation's premier consortium of top recruiters within the permanent placement and search industry), in 1996.
In 1985 and 1992 respectively, she was awarded the CPC (Certified Personnel Consultant) and CTS (Certified Temporary Staffing Specialist) designations, attesting to her continued commitment to the highest standards of legal and ethical business practices. She was honored in 1992 as the Houston Area "Consultant of the Year" and "CTS of the Year" by TAPC (Texas Association of Personnel Consultants). In 1994, Ms. Wenom was also recognized by NAPS (National Association of Personnel Services) as "CPC of the Year". In 2003, the HAAPC (Houston Area Association of Personnel Consultants) recognized Ms. Wenom for her Outstanding Contributions to the Professional Staffing Industry. Ms. Wenom is currently the Chairman of the Board for NAPS (National Association of Personnel Services). She also currently serves as a Founder and Director for the Rocky Mountain Association of Recruiters.
In addition to her operational roles at Whitaker, Ms. Wenom also serves as Vice President of Training and Organizational Development. She conducts both new-hire and on-going training for all three divisions and five branch offices of the company. She has also developed a series of training videos introducing the Fundamentals of the Staffing Industry that is now being offered throughout the industry nationwide.
As a noted speaker/trainer in our industry, Ms Wenom’s affiliations include NAPS (National Association of Personnel Services), ACSESS (Association of Canadian Search, Employment and Staffing Services), ASA (American Staffing Association), NPA (National Personnel Association)) and IPA (International Personnel Association). Ms. Wenom has also made "guest appearances" for SHRM (Society of Human Resource Management).
Ms. Wenom received her Bachelor's degree from Syracuse University in 1973, with a dual major in English and Communications. Prior to her career in recruiting, Ms. Wenom worked in both technical and training positions for Western Geophysical Company of America based in Houston.

In the course of a distinguished career that began in 1968, Bruce Whitaker has personally completed and supervised thousands of successful searches. Starting as a technical recruiter with the largest firm in the search industry, he rose to manager of one of its top offices and spearheaded the start-up of a new division. Bruce left the firm in 1983 to establish The Whitaker Companies, where his visionary leadership and pioneering approach have enabled the company to provide the highest-quality staffing solutions while flexibly responding to its clients’ ever-changing staffing needs. Under Bruce’s direction, The Whitaker Companies has grown to more than 70 employees in five locations, and has enjoyed 25 percent year-over-year growth since 1990.
Bruce has been dedicated to the growth and integrity of the staffing industry and the professional development of its members for more than two decades. He is a tireless advocate who continues to play prominent roles in local, state and national personnel associations and the proud recipient of numerous industry awards.
